Position: DevOps Engineer
Our client is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to build and maintain their trading infrastructure. This role is critical in ensuring high availability, security, and performance of trading systems while enabling rapid deployment of new strategies.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for trading system deployments to streamline development and deployment processes.
- Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) with a focus on achieving low-latency performance critical for trading operations.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response procedures to maintain system reliability and quick resolution of issues.
- Ensure security best practices, including robust access controls and encryption, to protect sensitive data and systems.
- Optimize system performance to meet stringent trading latency requirements.
- Manage containerization and orchestration using tools like Docker and Kubernetes for scalable and efficient system management.
- Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity systems to safeguard operations against unforeseen disruptions.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management to enhance efficiency and reduce manual errors.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a DevOps role, with a preference for candidates who have worked in financial services.
- Cloud Expertise: Expert-level knowledge of AWS or GCP cloud services.
- Containerization: Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes for managing containerized environments.
- Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency in tools like Terraform and CloudFormation for automated infrastructure setup.
- Monitoring Tools: Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and DataDog.
- Scripting: Strong skills in Python and Bash for automation and system management tasks.
- Network and Security: Solid understanding of network architecture and security principles to ensure robust and secure systems.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
